About the role
You set a lab's agenda and run the partnership with one of our launch universities. Half research leadership, half institution-building: choosing problems worth years, growing the people working on them, and keeping a genuine two-way relationship with the university rather than a logo on a slide.
What we need to see
- Research leadership: you have set an agenda others worked to and grown the people doing it
- Real collaboration experience across academia and industry
- You choose problems that matter and can defend the choice
- You will make sure the work lands in the product rather than only in a paper
Nice to have
- Existing ties to Stony Brook, Purdue, or the IITs
- You have run a funded research program
- A record of students or researchers who went on to do notable work

- Research output and talent developed
