Product Design & Human-Centered Design

How it feels: clarity, simplicity, and craft a 6-year-old and a grandparent both love.

Office-first9 cities

About the role

You decide how it feels. The bar is a six-year-old and a ninety-six-year-old both finding it obvious, which is much harder than making it beautiful, and it is the bar because an agent nobody understands is an agent nobody trusts. You will prototype to decide rather than to present, and you will sweat details other people would ship past.

What we need to see

  • A portfolio of shipped consumer work where the result was clarity rather than decoration
  • Mastery of interaction and motion, and accessibility as a habit rather than an audit
  • You prototype to answer a question, and you change your mind when the prototype says so
  • You can hold a detail others want to skip, and explain why it matters

Nice to have

  • You have designed for an agent or another system that acts on the user's behalf
  • Design-systems work at scale
  • Hardware or spatial design

What winning looks like

  • Task-success and SUS/usability scores across the 6-to-96 range
  • Drop in support contacts for designed flows
  • Accessibility conformance (WCAG) on shipped surfaces

Where and how we work

In the office together five days a week, in any of these cities. Remote-friendly around your family, arranged one person at a time.
