What we need to see
- Strong engineering with enough research fluency to read a paper and judge whether it will hold
- You have productionised research against real latency and accuracy budgets
- Pragmatic and fast: you ship the eighty percent that works rather than waiting on the rest
- You can say when a promising result will not survive contact with users
