About the role
You work on the substrate: making intelligence efficient enough to run where the person is, on hardware they own. Efficiency here is not an optimisation exercise, it is what makes the sovereignty claim true, and every win you prove becomes product.
What we need to see
- Systems or data research with a genuine performance focus
- On-device, edge, or distributed-systems depth in production systems
- You measure and prove the efficiency win rather than asserting it
- You can take a result from a paper into something that survives production
Nice to have
- Compiler, kernel, or runtime work
- Federated or decentralised systems
- Published benchmarks somebody else reproduced
What winning looks like
- Efficiency gains (latency, memory, cost)
- Techniques adopted into production
- Published or internal results that hold up
Where and how we work
In the office together five days a week, in any of these cities. Remote-friendly around your family, arranged one person at a time.
